Marcus Rashford is edging closer to securing a loan move to Aston Villa as the January transfer window nears its deadline. The Manchester United star has been seeking an exit from Old Trafford following his exclusion from the squad that defeated Manchester City. In a bombshell interview after that match, Marcus Rashford expressed his desire for a fresh challenge, fueling speculation about his departure.
Despite interest from European giants AC Milan and Barcelona, neither club followed through with a deal. However, Aston Villa has emerged as a viable destination for the English forward, offering him a much-needed lifeline. The club is keen to reinforce its attacking options after Jhon Durán’s blockbuster move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr for £65 million.
According to the Manchester Evening News, negotiations between Manchester United and Aston Villa are progressing, with optimism that the deal will be completed before Monday’s 11 PM transfer deadline.
